Following all of today’s news on the Cash Allowance Rebate System a.k.a Cash For Clunkers, there seems to have been a lot of confusion as to what qualifies a car to be eligible for the Cash For Clunkers scheme. There are plenty of other posts by us including a trade-in guide, a look into some of the obstacles and also how MPG affects your eligibility.
The latest controversy surrounding the issue is that of foreign car dealers and foreign cars, many people feel by allowing these foreign entities into the country it is going to cause difficulties for American manufacturers, there are also some people who feel this is an attempt to bust the Detroit unions.
One of the major concerns is that by allowing more and more foreign products into the US it causes a growing rise in the current unemployment rate, many believe that if the CARS program was exclusive to American automobiles it could in turn help the US economic climate.
