Padraig Harrington is back in the world's top 10 despite the triple-bogey eight which cost him the chance of beating Tiger Woods yesterday. Harrington, who this week defends his US PGA title, was one ahead with three to play in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, but ended up losing to Woods by four and sharing second place.

It was the Irishman's first top-10 finish since January, a barren spell which had seen him fall from third in the world to 17th. Woods is now 4.66 points clear at the top. When he began his comeback from injury in March he led Phil Mickelson by only 0.2, but he has won five times since then.
