DJ AM 'wanted to die': Police

NEW YORK - AMERICAN DJ, Adam Goldstein, reportedly had nine painkiller tablets in his body when he was found dead last week, said media reports on Wednesday.

DJ AM, as he was known, was discovered in his New York apartment.

According to People magazine, a law enforcement officer as saying they found "eight undigested OxyContin pills in his stomach and a ninth in his mouth".

The source added: "He wanted to die. He was going unconscious when he took the last one. He didn't even swallow it." -- REUTERS
