Located in Tonawanda, New York, LGUS Accounting Shared Services provides financial services for a variety of businesses within the United States. The group functions as a primary resource to Linde Gases US. LGUS Shared Services consists of Accounting Standards/Sarbanes Oxley, Export Compliance, Accounts Payable, Business Reporting, Capital Accounting, General Accounting, Payroll and Benefits Accounting, Customer Financial Services, and Financial Report and Analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling bank statements including payroll checking and multi-account reconciliations
  • Handling and processing daily wires and monthly invoices to benefit carriers
  • Posting monthly payroll interface files
  • Handling and processing monthly remittances to unions for dues and Health & Welfare and Pension. Requires a high attention to detail to ensure continual compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Maintaining and updating documentation for Sarbanes-Oxley disclosures
  • Working with internal and external payroll/benefits contacts to quickly resolve discrepancies
  • Developing a strong working relationship with corporate payroll/benefits staff
  • Other general accounting duties, as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or an equivalent Master’s degree, is required
  • 1-3 years relevant accounting experience
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and an ability to prioritize tasks and meet required deadlines
  • Excellent positive professional demeanor with emphasis on interpersonal skills and written/verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work extended hours at month end to meet deadlines
  • Strong computer aptitude including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • JD Edwards and Oracle Business Intelligence experience is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,450.00 - $97,460.00 per year
