Robinho has risked the wrath of Manchester City fans by saying that interest shown in him by Barcelona makes him "happy".
The Brazil international, City's record signing from Real Madrid, has failed to have the impact at Eastlands many were expecting and this is not the first time Robinho has been linked with a move.
Barca were surprisingly quiet in the summer transfer window, only bringing in Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Inter Milan in exchange for Samuel Eto'o.
However, coach Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen to sign a left-sided attacking player in the mould of Robinho and, according to the Guardian, will make a bid when the January window opens.
Robinho has admitted it is "not easy to say no" to Barcelona, and when asked about the Spanish champions' interest, he said: "They are European champions, they're in a lovely city and I like Spain a lot.
"I have always wanted to play at clubs like Barcelona. It's a great club, any player would be happy for them to show an interest.
"I'm happy that Barcelona have taken notice of me. Who wouldn't like to play alongside Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Ibrahimovic and all the rest. I like Barcelona, they're a great club."
